Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to making gen3block.com accessible to everyone

Conformance Target

gen3block.com is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities and more usable for everyone. WCAG 2.1 AA is our target standard. Where we fall short, the known limitations are documented in Section 2.2 and we are actively working to resolve them.

1Introduction

This accessibility statement applies to gen3block.com and the GEN3BLOCK AI Readiness Assessment platform. It was last reviewed in June 2026.

Our website and platform are built so that as many people as possible can use them. Specifically, our site is designed so you can:

  • Change colours, contrast levels, and fonts using browser or device settings
  • Zoom in up to 400% without text spilling off the screen
  • Navigate the website using a keyboard alone
  • Navigate the website using speech recognition software
  • Listen to the website using a screen reader (including the latest versions of JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver)

We write website content in plain English to keep it as clear as possible for all readers, including those using assistive technology.

2How Accessible This Website Is

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible at this time. The following sections describe the current state of accessibility across our site.

2.1 What Our Site Is Built To Do

  • Use semantic HTML5 landmarks and a consistent heading hierarchy throughout
  • Include meaningful alternative text on all images
  • Meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA colour contrast ratios across all text and UI components
  • Make all interactive elements reachable and operable via keyboard
  • Show visible focus indicators on all interactive components
  • Associate all form inputs with labels and provide descriptive error messages
  • Give every page a unique, descriptive title element
  • Avoid any content that flashes more than three times per second

2.2 Known Limitations

We are actively working to address the following known issues:

  • PDF report downloads are generated programmatically and may not be fully navigable by screen reader. If you need your report in an accessible format, email enquiry@gen3block.com with the subject line "Accessible Report Request" and we will provide an HTML or plain-text alternative within 5 working days.
  • Complex data visualisations in assessment results (pillar score charts) include ARIA labels, but may not convey full numerical detail to screen reader users. All scores are also presented in plain text on the same page.
  • The Governance Gap Agent conversation interface is keyboard-navigable and includes ARIA live regions so screen readers announce new agent messages. However, some assistive technology and browser combinations may experience reduced announcement timing. If you encounter issues, contact us and we will work with you directly.
  • Some older browser and assistive technology combinations may experience reduced functionality. We test the combinations listed in Section 3.1 — combinations outside this list are not guaranteed.

3Technical Specification

Accessibility of gen3block.com relies on the following technologies working in combination with your browser:

  • HTML5
  • CSS3
  • JavaScript (React / Next.js)
  • WAI-ARIA 1.2

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with WCAG 2.1 AA.

3.1 Tested Environments

We regularly test our website with the following combinations:

  • NVDA + Chrome on Windows 10/11
  • JAWS + Edge on Windows 10/11
  • VoiceOver + Safari on macOS and iOS
  • TalkBack + Chrome on Android
  • Keyboard-only navigation in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge

4Disproportionate Burden

GEN3BLOCK Limited does not currently claim any exemptions for disproportionate burden under the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018, as we are a private-sector organisation. However, we apply the same diligence in assessing the cost and feasibility of accessibility improvements and endeavour to remediate all identified issues in a timely manner.

5What We're Doing to Improve

Our development process is configured to include accessibility at every stage, not as a post-release check:

  • Automated accessibility audits using Axe and Lighthouse are run on each release before deployment
  • Accessibility acceptance criteria are included in the definition of done for all new features and UI changes
  • Manual keyboard and screen reader testing is conducted at major platform milestones using the combinations listed in Section 3.1
  • This statement is reviewed and updated at least annually and whenever significant changes are made to the site — last reviewed June 2026

6Feedback and Contact Information

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of gen3block.com. If you experience a barrier that prevents you from accessing any part of our site or platform, please tell us so we can work to resolve it.

  • Email: enquiry@gen3block.com — include "Accessibility Feedback" in the subject line
  • We will acknowledge your report within 2 working days and aim to resolve or provide a workaround within 5 working days
  • If we cannot resolve your issue within 5 working days, we will tell you when we expect to resolve it and offer an accessible alternative in the meantime

If you need content from our website in a different format — accessible PDF, large print, easy read, or plain text — email enquiry@gen3block.com and we will provide it within 5 working days.

7Enforcement Procedure

GEN3BLOCK Limited is a UK-based company and supports the principles of the Equality Act 2010, which places a duty on service providers to make reasonable adjustments to avoid placing disabled people at a disadvantage.

If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility complaint, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS):

  • Website: equalityadvisoryservice.com
  • Phone: 0808 800 0082
  • Textphone: 0808 800 0084

For public-sector specific queries, the Government Digital Service can be contacted at accessibility-monitoring@digital.cabinet-office.gov.uk.

8Third-Party Content

Our website includes content and functionality provided by third-party services. We take reasonable steps to select accessible third-party components, but we cannot guarantee full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance for all third-party content. The key third-party services on our site are:

  • Calendly (booking widget on the About page) — Calendly publishes its own accessibility statement. If you cannot use the Calendly booking interface, email enquiry@gen3block.com and we will arrange a call directly.
  • Anthropic Claude API (Governance Gap Agent) — the agent conversation interface is built and controlled by us; only the underlying AI model is provided by Anthropic. Accessibility of the chat interface is our responsibility and is covered in Section 2.2.
  • Google Analytics 4 — does not render visible content; no impact on user-facing accessibility.

If you encounter an inaccessible third-party element on our site, report it to us at enquiry@gen3block.com and we will investigate alternatives.
